GRAND MARSHAL ANNOUNCED FOR THE 

85th BRONC DAY FESTIVAL!

Margaret Peterson, resident of Green Mt. Falls, has been named the Grand Marshal for the 85th Annual Bronc Day Festival.

 

Margaret says, “Bronc Day is my favorite day; it makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again.” She has worked tirelessly as a volunteer for many organizations and has served on numerous boards, including Bronc Day, for many years.

The Two Mile High Club came into existence in 1931 for the care of the wild herd of donkeys that were from days gone by. These beasts of burden were used in the gold mines in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Girl of the West

2023 Girl of the West, Makena Norton, is the 19-year-old daughter of Jeff Norton and Kristen Norton, and sibling to Maddy Norton. She has been involved in many realms of the equestrian community including the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association, Interscholastic Equestrian Association, and a member of the Pikes Peak Rangerettes. She also served as the 2022 El Paso County Fair Queen.

The Centennial State Peruvian Horse Club is dedicated to the promotion of the Peruvian Horse. Its unique gait, as always on parade, they are the "Smoothest' riding horse in the world.

The Mountain Banjo Man

Welcome back to the Mountain Banjo Man of Green Mountain Falls! For over fifteen years he has made his annual trek down Pikes Peak to get wilderness supplies and to visit Bronc Day!

Teller County Regional Animal Shelter

Our mission is “Fostering Hope and New Beginnings.” TCRAS is based in Divide, Colorado. TCRAS is a 501c3 non-profit, limited access shelter serving communities throughout the Pikes Peak region. We rely on the support of donors, fundraising events, grants, individuals, and corporate donors. We fulfill our mission by caring for the region’s lost, abused, neglected or relinquished companion pets until a suitable home is found. The shelter also helps to reunite lost pets with their owners through our on-line lost and found database.

Ian and Benedict Almy are seven and little sister, Vivienne is making her fifth appearance in Bronc Day this year. Vivienne represents Bronc Day past, Ian represents Bronc Day Present and Benedict is sporting the look of the Future.

Ella the pig and her crew are happy to be back at Bronc Day for the 3rd year in a row. Ella is a 3 year old pig and local artist. She uses her snout to make paintings. When she’s not making art or eating you can find her napping in the sunshine.

The Mountain Eire Irish Dancers, under the instruction of Mickie Richardson, feature dancers age 3 to 73. Their goal is to bring traditional Irish dance
