
Pie Contest
Handmade Pie Contest Rules

Crusts and fillings must be made from scratch.

Dessert pies only please.

Contestants are limited to 2 pies each.

Each pie must be 8-10 inches in diameter. The covered pie plate/pan must be labeled with your name and phone number. Your dish will be returned after pie sales are completed.

Each entry must include the name of the baker and name of the pie (be creative with your name!)

No Entry Fee - Pie samples will be sold to the public. Proceeds will benefit future Bronc Day Festivals. Bakers will get a free ticket to try any pie.
Schedule

Pre-registration is required. Register your pie before midnight on Friday, July 24.

Drop off your pies on July 24, the evening before Bronc Day from 5-7 pm or on July 25, Bronc Day, from 7:30 to 8:45 am. No pies will be accepted for judging after 8:45 am.

Judging starts at 9:00 am.

Winners will be announced after the parade (approximately 11:00 am).

Pie Flights (3 mini slices) will not be sold until all pies have been judged
Judging

All pies will be identified for judging by an anonymous number. In the case of a tie, judges will break the tie and select a winner.

Pies will be judged in four areas:

Overall appearance, creativity, taste, and texture.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
